Professor Ma’s video work was covered extensively in a 2012 article titled, “Tongue Twisters: The Travelogue Videos of Ming-Yuen年代. Ma,” which appeared in the 针孔照相机, an academic journal on feminism, culture and media studies (vol. 27, no. 1). A still from Professor Ma’s video, Slanted Vision, was featured on the journal cover.

Co-director: “Resolution 3: Video Praxis in Global Spaces,” With Ciara Ennis. Presented by 洛杉矶 Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE), Pitzer Art Galleries and Pitzer 媒体研究. Co-sponsored by Intercollegiate 媒体研究 (IMS) and Scripps Humanities Institute. Consists of “Narrowcast: Reframing Global Video 1986/2008,” a traveling exhibition; “Resolution 3 Symposium,” a three-day symposium; a Pitzer gallery walk, a conversation with exhibition artist Mark Boulos at LACE and a screening of “Video Cocktail” at the 2009 College Arts Association National Conference.
